Who we are

Lange Sky SARL is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. We are a private company registered in Cameroon, with our registered office at ESSOS, Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Information we collect

We collect personal information that you provide to us directly when you create an account, submit a visa application, contact our support team, or otherwise interact with the platform. This includes your full name, date of birth, nationality, passport details, contact information (email address, telephone number, residential address), travel history, employment and financial information, and any documents you upload.

We collect technical information automatically when you access the platform: your IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and the dates and times of your visits. We use cookies and similar technologies for this - see our Cookie Policy for details.

We collect information from third parties where necessary to deliver our service, such as identity-verification providers and payment processors, and only the minimum information required to complete the relevant step.

How we use your information

We process your personal information for the following purposes, each on the lawful basis indicated:

To create and administer your account - performance of our contract with you.
To prepare, review, and submit your visa application to the relevant immigration authority - performance of our contract with you.
To communicate with you about your application, including status updates and requests for additional information - performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interests in operating a reliable service.
To verify your identity and prevent fraud - our legitimate interests in protecting our customers and our platform.
To improve the platform, troubleshoot issues, and develop new features - our legitimate interests, except where required by law, with analytics only run where you have given consent.
To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including record-keeping, tax, and anti-money-laundering requirements.
To send you marketing communications where you have opted in - your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only as necessary to deliver our service or comply with the law:

With the immigration authorities, embassies, and consulates that issue the visa you have applied for, in order to process your application.
With identity-verification, payment-processing, document-storage, and other service providers that help us operate the platform. Each is bound by a written agreement that limits their use of your data to providing services to us.
With professional advisers (auditors, lawyers, insurers) as necessary to operate our business lawfully.
With law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other public authorities where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
With a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to a confidentiality undertaking.

International transfers

Some of our service providers and the immigration authorities we submit applications to are located outside Cameroon. Where we transfer your personal information outside Cameroon, we ensure an appropriate level of protection - typically by relying on standard contractual clauses approved by the Personal Data Protection Authority, on an adequacy decision, or on another lawful transfer mechanism.

You can contact our Data Protection Officer for a copy of the safeguards we apply to a specific transfer.

How long we keep your information

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our service and comply with our legal obligations. Application records are retained for a minimum of seven years following the completion of your application, in line with immigration and tax record-keeping requirements. Account profile information is retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you choose to return.

When personal information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it so that it can no longer be associated with you.

How we protect your information

We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information. All documents and account data are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and at rest (AES-256). Access to personal information is restricted to staff and contractors who need it to perform their role, and is logged.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a personal-data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the Personal Data Protection Authority in accordance with Law No. 2024/017.

Your rights

Under Law No. 2024/017 you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you (subject-access request).
Have inaccurate information corrected.
Request deletion of your information in certain circumstances.
Restrict or object to processing in certain circumstances.
Receive your information in a portable, machine-readable format.
Withdraw consent where we are relying on it, without affecting processing that has already taken place.

Automated decision-making

The Lange Sky platform does not use automated decision-making to determine the outcome of visa applications. Immigration decisions are made by the relevant government authority. We use automation only to support our internal review process - for example, checking that required fields are complete - and a human visa specialist reviews every application before submission.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact our Data Protection Officer at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority of Cameroon.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of the page shows when the latest version came into force. Material changes will be communicated to you through the platform or by email before they take effect.
